NEW ZEALAND LAND ASSOCIATION’S MONTHLY REPORT. Tho Association reports as follows for the month ending 17th April : Wool. —The wool season for 1893-94 may now be said to be virtually over. The last sale was hold on the 2nd ult., and only a few odd bales, principally of stragglers’ wool, are now coming forward, which are being disposed of locally. The London brokers closed their second series of sales on tho 17tli ult., and prices were slightly firmer for coarse crossbred qualities. The next English sories are to open early next month. Sheepskins. A good supply of green skins has come forward daring the past month, and prices have been well maintained to the levels of those ruling at this time last year. Flax. —There is not much improvement to record in this market, and advices of sales aro not encouraging, although a slightly firmer tone pervades the English market. Prices at prosent are not encouraging to millers, and sales that have been reported at <£ll per ton for g.f.a.g. cannot but leave the miller with a loss.

Wheat.— Tho extreme low level that has been ruling in Mark Lane for some time past has induced a large proportion of growers to store in the hopes of a better state of things, and consequently speculation has been at a standstill, and few sales have boon reported beyond merely what is required for consumption. Barley. —A few pulled samples have coma to hand from Blenheim, Where stocks are in the stack, and some growers have already thrashed. Present ruling prices are 3s Gd to 4s for prime malting qualities, and 2s 9d to 3s 3d for medium qualities.
