Last session the Colonial Secretary, at the request of the Hon J. E. Jenkinson, forwarded to the Railway Commissioners a suggestion that trees and shrubs consigned to School Committees should be.carried free, as are those consigned to Domain Boards. Mr Jenkinson has now received a reply from the Commissioners that they do not eee their way to grant the concession asked for.
