KENNEL NOTES.
BY "FANCIER." We have been informed by Mr F. Rogen that he has sold his latest importation, Newmarket Ruff, to Mr F. A. Kebbell, of this city. The price is said to have run into three figures. We congratulate Mr Kebbell on having secured what many consider the best collie in the Colony. Those enthusiastic Irish terrier fanciers, Messrs (Gardiner and Moorhouse, of the Woodcote Kennels, have juat concluded Arrangements for the purchase of a noted Melbourne bitch, Norah 111., a full sister to champion Dandy IV., an unbeaten champion. Norah 111. has a fine record of wins in Australia, her list including : Ist, Puppies, Dandenong ; Ist, Puppies, Melbourne Exhibition ; Ist, Open Bitches, Dandenong ; Ist, Open Bitches, Geelong ; Ist, Open Bitches, Royal Agricultural Show, Melbourne. She is in pup to Champion Breda Rattle, the English Champion, with an unbeaten record, among whose wins the most noticeable are —SO "Guineas Challenge Cup (Ireland), and over 20 first prizes in England. Norah 111. will arrive in Wellington at the end of this mouth. We congratulate Messrs Gardiner and Moorhouse on the enterprise they are showing. It is a pity that there are not more fanciers like them in the Colony.
We notice that MrTriggs, of the Harewood Fox Terrier Kennels, is offering some splendid bitches for sale. From the advertisement it will bo seen that those offered are Very Charming, by Venio, one of the be3t dogs in England ; .Regalia, by Vice-Regal (who was sold for £'soo a fewa months ago), and Harewood Firelight is well known a 3 the winner of a number of first prizes on the New Zealand show bench. This is a splendid opportunity for any fancier to secure a first-class bitch as the nucleus of future kennels. Mr Triggs' stock is known all over the Colony.
