The Star of Wellington Lodge hell its usual weekly meeting last week in the lodge room, Sydney Btreet. There was a good attendance of members and visitors, Bro P. A. Savieri, O.T, was in the chair. Bro T. Greig, D.D.G.0.T., paid an official visit, and was received with the usual honour. One brother was added to the roll of membership. The report of the S.J.T. was read and adopted. The item on the programme, ■ Conundrum and Question Box,' was carried out. A vote of thanks was accorded to the D.D. and visitors. The D.D. responded, and informed the members that he was making arrangements to open a lodge in the Taita. The lodge was closed at 9.30 p.m. by Bro Greig, D.l>,, in the chair. A meeting of the Trustees of the Benevolent Home was held at the Home yesterday week. Present -The Rev H. Van Staveren (chairman), and Messrs McKenzie, Kirk and Kenbsll. It was decided that a shed for storing provisions should be erected, also a workshop. It was also decided that a two-roomed building should be erected a short distance away from the Home for the accommodation of special cases. Complaints were made that several of the inmates had been quarrelling, and the offenders were reprimanded. Before leaving the institution the Trustees inspected the Home, and found everything in a satisfactory condition.
