The appointment of Father Martini, a Spaniard, and private secretary to the late General of the Jesuits, as Vicar of the Jesuits, was in accordance with the last wishes of Father Anderledi. The fit’ls Q ieen had hor revenge on her English instructress by making the British Isles appear on the map only about haltythe size of the Netherlands.
