announced that Prince George of Wales is created Duke of Cork, Earl of Inverness and Baron Ivdllarney. Hon J. P. Abbot, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly; Judge Manning, °f New South Wales ; and the Hon 1 . A. Buckley, Colonial Secretary for New Zealand, are made K.C.M.G.’s. Mr George Louis Adolphus Bernays, of Queensland, is created a C.M.G. Louis Brennan, inventor of the torpedo which bears his name, has been created * Si?" H. J. Selwin Ibbetson and Sir Evelyn Baring have been raised to tbe peerage, and the Hon J. C. Abbott, Premier of Canada, has been made a K.C.M.G. '
