The Star states that the Hon P. A. Buckley will shortly resign and seek election to the House of Commons for an Irish constituency in the Nationalist interest.

[We are informed on the best authority that Mr Buckley has no intention of resigning with the object mentioned in this telegram. Some time ago be received a letter from Home asking if he would stand for an Irish constituency, but he has not committed himself to any pledge on the subject.]
