By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. DEATH OF WELL-KNOWN PERSONS. (press association.) Sydney, October 14. Influenza i 3 rapidly spreading throughout the couutry, and several deaths have resulted. A number of cases are reported in the city. Melbourne, October 14. The fatal character of influenza is creating widespread alarm. The Rev Mr Rigg, President of the Wesleyan Conference, and Mr A. W. Musgrove, Secretary for Trade and Customs, have succumbed to the epidemic. Several other prominent citizens died to-day, and many more are in a critical condition.
