A JUMP FOE LIBERTY.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Palmerston North, October 12. A man, arrested at Shannon this morn** ing, jumped off the train near Longburn, and escaped into the hash. Later. The man who jumped from the train wai captured after a chase cf a mile or so. Hia name is Joseph Valentine Bourke. He was arrested on a warrant of commitment to the New Plymouth Gaol for two months for disobeying an order of the Court.
