THE GISBORNE DEFAULTER
(PRESS ASSOCIATION.! Gisborne, July 31. Further examination of the accounts disclose defalcations of over £IOOO oy Piesse, secretary of the Building ISociety, who is supposed 'to have left for California. A warrant was issued this afternoon for his arrest. The police have ascertained that Piesse purchased a portmanteau in Auckland the day the mail lelt, saying he was going to the Thames for a few days.
