Mr Justin McCarthy has written to Mr Parnell asking him to release LII,OOO of the Irish Evicted Tenants’ Relief Fund deposited in Parisian banks. . London, April 18. In the House of. Commons to day an amendment, moved by Mr Morley, that operations under the Land Purchase Act in Ireland should be deferred until the County Government had been created m that country, was rejected by a majority of 77. Mr Parnell voted against the amendment. . Mr Parnell has issued a manifesto in which he recounts the history of the Land League, and accuses the anti-Parnell party of attempting to wrest National lands from them, and make Englishmen the arbiters of Ireland’s destinies. He cal’s upon the members of the Convention to reorganise My Parnell has released L3ooo of the Land League funds which were deposited in a bank in Paris. London, April 20. In the House of Commons to-day Mr Justin McCarthy’s motion, that the name of Michael Daritt be added to the Roy*l Labour Commission, was discussed. Mr TV. H. Smith, on behalf of the Government, declared that Mr Davitfc was not qualified to act as Commissioner, he having been convicted on a charge of felony. (special to press association). London, April 16^ In the House of Commons to-day Mr Maurice Healy challenged Mr Parnell to resign his seat for Cork, and give that constituency an opportunity of pronouncing an opinion on the questions at issue between the two sections of the Irish party. The challenge was made with warmth, and Mr Healy declared that Mr Parnell was unfit to speak in Cork on public questions. Mr Parnell remained silent throughout the attack, which has caused a profound sensation. London, April 20. Mr Parnell has fixed the day on which his marriage with Mrs O'Shea is to take place. Speaking at Athlone to-day Mr Parnell denounced the Irish members who have seceded from his leadership for opposing the Irish Land Purchase Bill, which he declared, if it became law, would be a boon to farmers.
