FASHIONABLE MARRIAGE.

The Pro-Cathedral of St. Paul’s, Themdon, was crowded on Tuesday afternoon by a numerous and fashionable gathering assembled to witness the marriage of Mr Cecil F. M- Wroughton, only son of the late Colonel Wroughton, C.B. (Bengal Army) to Miss Frances Theresa Brandon, third daughter of the late Hon. A. de B. Brandon, of Wellington. The ceremony was performed by the Rev J. C. Andrew, assisted by the Rev J. Still. The bride was given away by her eldest brother Air A. de B. Brandon, while Air Boddington attended the bride, groom as “best man.” The bridesmaids, seven in number, were Aliases Annie Brac« don (sister to the bride), Flora and Lucie Brandon (nieces), Cicely Higginson, and Alice, Zoe, and Doris Johnston (daughters of the Hon. Charles Johnston, M.L.C.) Alaster A. de B. Brandon attended the bride a 3 page. The bride’s dress was white brocaded satin, with honiton lace chiffon and orange blossoms, with an embroidered tulle veil. She also wore as ornaments a handsome diamond and pearl bracelet, the gift of Mr E. Pearce, and a lovely pearl broooh, the gift of Mr and Mrs Levin. The bridesmaids’ dresses were as follow : —Alias A. Brandon— Blue cloth and silver trimming, with hat to match ; the others wearing cream nun’s veiling, large blue sashes, and cream hats. The bride’s nage wore a Fauntleroy suit. Mrs Brandon, mother of the bride, had a beautiful heliotrope poplin, and bonnet of the same colour. Miss Brandon—terracotta cloth and velvet bonnet to match. Mrs Larnach—brown silk and bonnet to match. Mrs Alfred Brandtfn—black silk dresß, with jet trimmings, and dark red velvet bonnet with jet trimmings. Mrs Higginson—terra cotta serge, embroidered with black, and bonnet to match. At the conclusion of the ceremony the nuptial party drove to the bride’s mother’s in Hobson street, where afternoon tea wan partaken of. The newly married couple left by the afternoon train for the West Coast, where they spend their honeymoon.
