A NATIVE RUMPUS.

(per press association.) Auckland, March 6. To day a party of 13 tourists who were at Tikitere were treated to an exhibition of a tight between some Maori men and women on account of a dispute about the collection of toll fees. After considerable wrangling and blows the row was stopped, but it is believed that it is not ended, as a large gathering of Natives interested in the Tiki tere Block is to be held to-morrow. This is only one of many disputes that have occurred amongst the Alaoris regarding toll fees, and it is urged that the Government should step in aud arrange the matter on a satisfactory basis.
