THE BEER DUTY ACT.
A CROP OF INFORMATIONS. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Westport, March 9. At the Resident Magistrate’s Court today W. Nahr, brewer, was charged oa twenty informations with omitting to keep correct accounts of beer delivered from hia brewery. The defendant pleaded guilty to eight informations, and was fined £SO on each charge, £4OO in all, with costs £22 16s. The other twelve infotmation3 were withdrawn. The offences in each case were technical irregularities.
