EARTHQUAKE.

At about half-past 2 o’clock oa Monday morning a slight shock of earthquake was experienced in Wellington, the duration being some lOsec, and the direction north to south. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Christchurch, March 9. A slight ‘shock of earthquake was experienced here at 2.25 this morning. Pendants were observed to swing with an elliptic motion, the greatest diameter being north and south. Kaikoura, March 9. A rather heavy earthquake shock was experienced here at about 2.30 o’clock this morning. The duration was about 35see ; the direction appeared to bo from north-west to south east.
