PROPOSED BANQUET TO MR BRUCE.

(r£P. PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Marion, March 3. The proposal to give a complimentary banquet to Mr Bruce, besides being enthusiastically endoreed in B&ngitikei, meets with the support of the moßt eminent men of his party. Th.e Hon John Bryce, at the meeting on Saturday, signified his intention of being present, and letters were read from. Air Macarthur, AI.H.R., and Mr Wilson, M.H.R., to the same effect. Inquiries have also been received from several of Air Bruce’s political friends in the South, who are desirous of being preseal, and there is every indication that the banquet will be a brilliant testimonial to the estimation in which Mr Bruce is held as a politician and a private gentleman.
