A NEW RUSH. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Hokitika, November 7. News has reached town that good gold has been struck in Back Creek. The prospectors have driven seven feet through wash giving 15dwt to the load, and have not bottomed yet. Over 100 men are on the ground, and there is great excitement in tOWD. Later. The new rush at Back Creek, near Rimu, is 1700 ft from the edge of the terrace. The sinking is in 45ft, with a wash of 6ft. The yield is about loz to the load, with easy sinking, Tho ground requires timbering. It is believed to extend a considerable distance, but the extent is not yet proved. The country is pegged out all round. There is groat excitement at Rimu. The Woodstock miners believe that a large extent of ground will be opened np, Greymouth, November 9. The first week’s export of coal since the strike, of any considerable quantity, is 1449 tons. Westport, November 8.
