Tongariro, 43 cases; and s.s. Arawa, 23 cases. Total, 213 casesf THE above shipments are the Newest and most Fashionable Goods obtainable from the best-known factories in Europe. These extensive shipments are opened up and ready for inspection, embracing the Largest and most Complete Display of Novelties ever shown in this city. Great praise is duo to our Home Representatives for the very great ability shown in selecting, without doubt, the choicest Seasons’ Novelties ever brought within the reach of every intending purchaser, In all Departments will be found throughout the Establishment every article of attire that is at present known in fashionable circles. Our numerous patrons will see we have exceeded all previous efforts in placing before them Goods unrivallel for Perfection, Value, and Durability. The remarkable success attending our business, brought about by being observant of all the requirements ot an appreciative public; also, to the able manner in which our Cash System has been carried out, having now attained such large proportions, it has been found absolutely necessary for the further development, better accommodation and convenience of the large assemblies who daily visit this fashionable resort, to make extensive additions and attractions, we have Purchased the Commodious Warehouse at the rear of our present business premises. It has been fitted up in the most modern style, rendering it in every respect suitable for the storage and display of High-class Drapery, for which the firm has been so long famous. IN THE NEW MILLINERY SHOW ROOMS we are showing a large shipment ot French Millinery by the s.s. Tongariro. We solicit an early inspection of this import as the modes are Simply Perfection ■ The shapes for this season are numerous and attractive, such as the “Beringer,” “ Orign,” “ Fleurette,” “ Capaline,” “la Belle,” “ Carnot,” “Lucien," and many other notable styles- We are also showing the newest thing in Floral Bonnets and Hats now so much worn ; also, some really Choice Novelties in Ladies’ l Head-dresses and Mob Caps. A large selection of French Flowers, Feathers, &c. THE MANTLE AND JACKET DEPARTMENT Is replete with such a variety of New Styles that it is impossible to detail in every particular. _ Silk Mantles, new Dolman Shapes, very short behind, and long ends in front cut square. Some are very handsomely trimmed with jet and lace; others again are elaborately braided in very artistic designs. Stripe Grenadine and Brocaded Mantles, nicely trimmed and inexpensive. Lace Mantles, in all sizes, a few extra large ; good shapes and choice patterns. Net Mantles are to be much worn this season. We have just opened up a shiinnent in handsome brocaded designs. Lace Jackets are also quite a new feature for the coming season, short sleeves to elbow; others again with large hanging sleeves, very graceful and pretty, also exquisite in design. r J In Short Jackets we are showing an immense variety, in all colours, with high and low Medici Collars ; also with the turn-down Sailor Collars, in Plain and Diagonal Cloth, some with Plush sleeves; very effective and choice; also a large assortment of Black Braided Jackets in similar shapes. Dust Cloaks, in Plain and Fancy Materials, large circular shapes, others with Shoulder Capes; also the ‘ Dorothy ’ and •' Russian ’ Shapes handsomely brocaded, in a choice selection of light shades. * Garibaldis, in Stripe Flannel and Plain Colours ; also Tennis Garibaldis in Cream and White Lawn, and Cotton Garibaldis in endless variety. Jerseys, with Velvet and Braided Sleeves, in all shades. Ladies’ Imperial Cloaks and Macintoshes, a splendid selection. - IN THE NEW DRESS SALOON We are showing almost Every known Fashionable Dress Fabric. The beautiful French Dress Goods are more attractive than ever this season; the new shades and neutral tints are very pretty and soft in tone. 48-inch French Dress Tweeds, in large and small and invisible checks, also in plain shades. The demand for these Goods is daily increasing. 44-inch French Flakes, m a beautiful variety of New Mixtures. From advice received from Home, Correspondents state that Flake materials take the premier position in Dress for this season. 46-inch French Cashmeres. We are showing over 6000 yards, in almost every known shade. We call special attention to this import, being of special value and finish. Plain colour French Dress Goods, in 25 and 44-inch. We have opened up 200 pieces in a complete range of shades. The Combination Robes for this season are chaste in design. The selection of these Goods is large, and of special value. Print Sateens and are now on view, forming a perfect Carnival of new designs in Broken Shaded Checks, Florals, Flakes, and plain shades. The variety in Washing Fabric for this season is numerous and attractive. 82-inch French de Laines, fast colours, and very choice designs. White and Coloured Embroidered Washing Robes. We hold a large stock in the latest patterns. IN RIBBONS AND PARASOLS We are showing the latest London Fashions. The stock of White Swiss Embroideries surpasses anything ever shown in the Colony—every price, width, and design—comprising the * Grecian,’ ‘ Modena, 1 and ‘ Venetian’ patterns, worked on beautiful Cambric, specially recommended for durability. Great attention has been given to the • ULOVE UtPAKI MtNT. Every efiort has been made to secure the best Skins in the French Market. We would specially draw the attention of our patrons to the fact that we are the Sole Agents for Ernest Calvat’s Celebrated Gloves, to he obtained only from us.
