the carlyle patent disc harrow. First and Second Prizes Against the World at the Sydrey (N-S.W.) Exhibition, ’BB. First Award at the Melbourne Exhibition, ’B9. OUR LATEST IMPROVEMENT marks the greatest advance in Disc Harrows, since we first fitted them with an easily-adjusted travelling-carriage. This improvement is in the method of fixing the steel discs. «. Instead of stringing them on to a wronght-iron axle as formerly, we now fit each one independently on a casting, giving it a 2-inch square seat. The consequence is that the AXLE WILL NEVER CUT OR WEAR OUT, THE DISCS CANNOT POSSIBLY GET LOOSE, and the worst difficulty remaining in the way of making a perfect Disc Harrow has been completely overcome. This improvement, or variations of it, are completely covered by patent, and OUR HARROWS ARE THE ONLY ONES IN WHICH THE DI3 US ARE FIXED WITH ABSOLUTE RIGIDITY, AND HELD IN POSITION WITHOUT TOUCHING THE AXLE. THE USE OF THE CARLYLE DISC HARROW MAKES TOIL A PLEASANT RECREATION.
