Reports.— Inkerman No. 2 level ia driven a total distance north on the stone of 164 ft The reef has now jumped into one of the walls, as in No. 1 level, for fully 100 ft further north than the present face, and all the quartz has a northerly strike. They ate in hopes of picking it up in a day or two. There is a nice soft country coming in from the west. The stopes are all looking well, the stone averaging 3sft wide. The quartz crushed for the week all came from theßonth end, which is the poorest; but that coming out now shows a marked improvement. As they go north the prospector On the south lease areistill following the outorop, which carries splendid gold. The battery wa9 hong up 16 hours for repairs. Remarks.—Business is very slaok, the market flooded with sellers, aßoribabie to the unsettled state of the money market. l
