Golden Spur.—The reef in this property is now being trenched for in a likely position to meet with success. 1 By request of interested parties, the Break-o’-Day was also examined. On this lease a tunnel is reported 160 ft in length to a ; reef of 6ft 6in,quartz of an auriferous nature being there that merits further working. ; The position of this reef to the machinery L site alone commends its re-opening, it being 15 minutes’ walk from Mr Coffey’s cottage, at Maori Gorge, where it is purposed to erect machinery.
