(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, June 12. The shareholders of the Deep Level Cross Goldmining Company have formed a now company to purchase the assets from the liquidator. The Company is to be registered under the no liability section of the Act. Greymouth, June 15. Reefton gold returns for last week : - Globe, 3770 z of amalgam from 168 tons; Progress, 3020 z of amalgam for the" week ; Alpine, 198 oz of smalgarn from 125 tons; Fiery Cross, 26Soz of amalgam from 91 tons; Inglewood, 740 z of amalgam from 70 tou3 ; Inkerman, Siozof amalgam from 70 tons. Wakamarino.—ln the federation claim 25ft has been driven since the present manager has had charge, and the tunnel is 125 ft. It is expected to cut the reef in less than 30ft. A sample of stone from the Golden Bar was sent to Wellington on Wednesday, one specimen being particularly good. This reef promises well. They are trenching in the Golden Spur on the surface. There is a line of reef from the Federation to the Break of Day a mile long. In the Warden’s Court at Cullensville on June 10th and Ilth, the long extended ease of G. Mathieson and others v. Douglas and P. Sorrenson, was heard, the evidence of the latter having been taken at Whangarei. It was an application for cancellation on the grounds of non-ocoupation under the Mining Act. The Warden held that sufficient proof was not shown regarding the registration order made for cancellation. Costs, £3l 19s. C. Bulwer and another v. Reuben Robinson and others. This case was for discharging tailings upon the complainants’ ground. Au order was made forbidding the discharge.

At the Warden’s Court at Havelock on June 11,-in the case of G. MoGlashan v. J. R. Skelley and others, the plaintiff was the late manager of the Federation claim at Wakamarino. Arise in the Venus shares was caused by the reported find of a reef in the neighbourhood of the Company’s property. The Globe returns would have been larrer but for a breakdown in the winding gear on Friday, whioh has since been put right.
