DUNEDIN EXHIBITION.
(per press association.) Dunedin, April 16. The judging of the agricultural seeds was accomplished to-day. The competition was very limited, and Nimmo and Blair swept the board, the only other prize-taker beffig Murray, Roberts and Co., of Napier, first and second for ryegrass ; F. Fulton, Napier, second for cocksfoot; ; John Allan, Taieri, second for timothy grass seed, first for linseed ; F. Fulton, Napier, second for potatoes and two first for onions. Nimmo and Blair secured twenty-three awards, nearly all firsts. In order to allow those unable to afford it to visit ihe Exhibition invitations have been sent to the Charitable Aid Board and Benevolent Trustees to issue tickets. Those who attend will be entertained by Mr Roberts, the President. Among the jurors’ awards announced are the following :—Fireclays—Onehunga Ironworks Company, 1 ; Grey Valley Company, 1 (exhibit from Brunner mine) ; Whitecliffs Colliery, South Malvern, 1 ; Kamo Colliery, 2. Pipeclay—Homebush Colliery, South Malvern, 1 ; C. W. Fisher and Co., Christchurch, 1 and 2 ; Whitecliffs Colliery, 2 ; Nelson Local Com' miltee, 2 (for clay from Takaka). Kaolin — Nelson Committee, 1 (for kaolin from Takaka) ; Dr Hauan, Invercargill (for kaolin from Stewart Island). Sea elephant oil— J. Hatch, Invercargill, 1. Collection of household remedies—-W. Robertson, Woodlands, 1. Baking and custard powder— J. Newberry, Nelson, 2. Indianite—J. Kendernine, Auckland, 2. Glue and size— E. Mitchelson and Co., Auckland, 1. Paper bags, made by hand—John Drapper, Chrf3tckurck, 2. Honey, in comb, tins, and bottles, and beeswax—G. Stevenson, Gisborne, 1. Osiers—G. Hodges and Sou, Timaru, 1.
