By Elect old Telegraph.—Copi’E-IGHT, (special to press association. ) London, January 15. A motion brought forward in the London County Council to accord H. M. Stanley a public welcome was withdrawn. Mr Burns denounced the famous explorer as a mere buccaneer who undertook the expedition because he was anxious to sccurs Emin Bey’s store of ivory.
