Influenza continues to spread throughout this city, and six per cent of those attacked succumb to the disease. The appeal of General Boulanger in the divorce case brought by Mdme. Boulanger has been refused. Paris, December 28. One third of the population of this city is affected with influenza. Paris, December 2S. The Colonial Congress will meet here next month to discuss the question of Aunamite and other convicts being introduced to New Caledonia. The proposal for a cable between New Caledonia and Australia, and the development of relations between New Caledonia and the New Hebrides will also be discussed. Athens, December 28. The Tuiksf are forcing the Cretans to sigu a memorial that they are contented with the present Government. Lisbon, December 28. Prince Carlos has been acclaimed King of Portugal with an ovation. Lisbon, December 28. Intelligence received here states that Emin Bey nas suffered a severe relapse. Palermo, December 28. A severe earthquake has been experienced in Sicily, and several fatalities are reported. Cadiz, December 27. Further trials were made to-day in the Bay with the Fieuch submarine torpedo boat, when the vessel made its re appearance four miles from the spot where it vanished. SPECIAL.
