The Telephones of ' the World.— According to a German contemporary the telephone nets of the world were as follow last year :—United States, 750 nets, with 200,000 subscribers ; Ge.many, 167 nets, with 26,000 subscribers ; England, 125 nets, with 20,000 subscribers ; Sweden, 150 nets, with 15,000 subscribers ; France, 39 nets, with 10,800 subscribers j Italy, 49 netß, with 9600 subscribers ; Switzerland, 71 nets, with 8000 subscribers ; Russia, 36 nets, with 7600 subscribers. —Electrical Review.
