There is generally a few minutes difference between the Town Hall time and that of the clock of the Colonial Bank ; but then that is not to be wondered at, because the
best chronometers vary and require frequent ' rating. Where mechanism of a delicate and extremely complicated nature is employed to produce a given result a great deal of expense and attention naturally follows. The only horologioal instrument so far that never varies is the Watetbufy Watch, which, possessing less than half the mechanism of a Swiss or English watch, is not. liable to disorder, aDd in case of accident can be repaired for the nominal sum of half-a-crown. This wonderful watch, faithful to its trust, ticks on, year in and year out, with an accuracy as certain and implacable as fate.
