Missing Friends. —The following list of missing Jr lends is taken from Lloyd’s Weekly ot March 24th : —Charles Anderson and his wife Hannah went to Hew Zealand 14 years ago. When their mother last heard, seven years since, they were living at Musselburgh, Dunedin. Alice King (nee Ryan) was at Temuka Post Office in 1884, when her mother and brother last heard, Edward Laoy sailed to Wellington sixteen years ago. His sister asks. Nicholas Treble (aged 24) was last heard from at Reefton. His widowed mother inquires. Thomas Week last wrote from Christchurch two and a half years ago, and is now believed to be in the North Island. His mother is anxious. Emily Victoria West iast wrote from Wellington in 1875. Her mother is anxious. The Cruise op a Yacht.— The yacht Pirate, which left the harbour on Saturday morning for Picton, in charge of her owners, Messrs Searl and Edwards, met with au accident -when off Island Bay in tho afternoon, her sails being carried away. The boat had lobe beached, and the owaeiß came into towu ~n 'oturday night and procured fresh sailo. j ■y made another start on Sunday morning.
