The drama is played by the full strength of the company, and is considered 0110 of the best pieces of. their repertoire. Football.— Mr L. Storey, a prominent member of the Poneke Football Club, who has been seriously indisposed for some time past, left yesterday morning for Auckland, where his medical attendant has advised him to spend the winter months. It is extremely' unlikely that Mr Storey 'yijl ever play again, and in his retirement Wellington will lose one of the beat foiward players that ever represented it. Presbyterian Charge. —The Presbytery of Wellington met on Tuesday night in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Pitone, for the purpose of selecting a minister to the charge there, now vacant by t e removal to Waverley of the Rev Thomas McDonald. The choice of the people has fallen on the Rev Alexander Thomson, who has laboured with much fidelity and success in the Wairarapa district. We congratulate the people on so wise a ohoice.

Pastoral and Agricultural Association. —The newly formed Pastoral sod Agricultural Association is beiug very well supported, and Mr Dixon, its canvasser, has met with considerable success. Over a hundred names have been added to the roll of membership since the last meeting, and there are now about 200 members altogether. The Association, in fact, is in a very flourishing condition, and its show In November promises to be the best of the kind ever held in the Wellington district. It is also proposed to hold a ram fair next autumn. A meeting of members for the election of officers, etc., will be held on Thursday next. Exhibition Committee.— A meeting of the Dunedin Exhibition Committee was held yesterday afternoon, at which there were present—Messrs E. W. Mills (in the chair), A. H. Miles, U. D- Barraud, J. H. Cock, R. Davies, E. T. Gillon, and Kohn, and Sir Wm. Fitzherbert. A letter was received from the Town Clerk, Masterton. submitting names for a local committee at Masterton, which were approved. A Fine Arts Committee was appointed, consisting of Messrs C. D. Barrand, A. Koch, L, Morrioon; aud C. J. Toxward. A committee was appointed to canvas for exhibits, and other business of a routine nature having been transacted, the meeting adjourned.
