It permeates the sap of the tree —syringing only washes tho bark. Trees should be dressed as soon as the fruit is off, as the Paint will go down with the sap and assimilate with it before the Spring. One man will dress 100 old trees in a day, or 500 if young. One dressing for old trees a cure by boring a hole nearly through the base and filling with paint; for a young tree paint a ring round tho base.
