THANKING SAMOAN NATIVES.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, April 29. The Mayor, Mr Devore, has given notice that he will a'i the next meeting of the Auckland City Council table a motion of thanks to the Samoan natives for their gallantry in saving life during the scenes of the terrible disaster of March last. He has telegraphed to the municipal authorities of the Southern boroughs asking their cooperation in this matter.
