Co’s ss HaurotO left Dunedin at 3 pm on Monday, Called at Timartt and Lyttelton, having left thelatter pert at 1 am on Wednesday, and arrived here at 5 pm same afternoon. She met with Btrong winds till entering the Strait. She sailed for Sydney on Wednesday night. Tke’U.S.S. Co’s ss Orowaiti left Westport at 5.30 pm on Tuesday, and arrived hero at 9.45 pm next night. She experienced strong winds and heavy sea till arrival. ARRIVAL OF THE BARQUE TENBY CASTLE, FROM LIVERPOOL. The barque Tenby Casino, ‘5-37 tons, Cap. tain Davis, anived froih Liverpool at 1.3 d pm on Sunday; after a passage of 103 days. She left Liverpool on the 27th November; experienced very rough weather with heavy sea's in the North Atlantic ; picked np the north-east Trades in latitude 28 north, and carried them to latitude 6 north ; strong Trades well east were experienced. A week of fine weather set in from latitude 6 north to crossing the Equator. Sho crossed the Line on January Ist in longitude 23 west, and got the south-east Trades on the Equator in longitude 23 west. Thence to the Cape experienced moderate gwinds, varying from north easttonorth-west. Passed the meridian or the Cape on the 28th J anuary in latitude 44 - 30 sout h; thence to the Crozets experienced steady winds from north-west to west ; had variable winds to the South Tasmanian coast, which was passed on the 27th February, in latitude 44’52 ; from thence to passing Cape Farewell on Friday, met with light winds, mostly from the north. Experienced a terrific north-west gale, with hurricane force, coming through the Strait. Was off The Brothers at 5 am on Saturday ; at 4 pm same day the wind moderated and hauled round to the west. From thence to making the Heads at 5 pm on Saturday, experienced light winds, anchored off thd Heads for the night, and came into the harbour as above. Messrs Johnston and Co are ageuts for the barque. of h.m.s. royalist. H. M.S. Royalist arrived in harbour on Saturday morniDg at 8.30 from Auckland, which port she loft on the sth instant. The Royalist is similar in appearance to H.M.S. Rapid (which vessel recently visited Wei* lington with the Squadron), but, in addition, is fitted with the electric light. She is a cruiser of the third class, carrying 12 guns, and is 1420 tons displacement and 1510 horsepower. The Royalist left Apia on 4th Feb., having been relieved by H.M.S. Calliope from Wellington. From Apia she went to Tongatubu, and after a three days' Btay there she left for Auckland, arriving there on the 19th February; and left for Wellington, arriving as above.
