Lady Eva Quid, who figured in the recent so-called “scandal’ at the Government House, Madras, having taken her departure from Lord Connemara’s gubernatorial hostel, has been away in the North on a tigerhunting expedition. In one day, says a telegram from Bombay, Lady Eva succeeded in bagging five tigers. Lady Connemara was said to be jealous of her pretty relative before, but this performance ought 'to make her doubly so. Madame Bernhardt claims that she has never quarrelled with her dressmaker.
