VIRTUE REWARDED.
Edward Binks had been an exceedingly good boy for the previous twelve months, and when his school broke up for the Christmas holidays Edward was the proud bearer of a letter to his paternal relative, in which the dominie testified that he had been the leading light of his term, and had been regularly top of his form at mental arithmetic, physical geography, and other juvenile accomplishments. The maternal Binks, bliss fully ignorant of the fact that the same letter, which was a manifold one, was carried into every household represented at the school, Eromptly rewarded young Ted with a W aterury watch, which made him supremely happy, as it is warranted to do auy boy who is lucky enough to own one. This watch is not a toy, but a reliable timekeeper ; and parents looking for birthday or Christmas presents cannot possibly do better than choose the Waterbury.
