The Maori football team beat the Hartlepoole Rovers’ Club, at Durham, by a try to 11 London, November 17. The Maori footballers beat Cumberland Jounty by two goals and five tries to two triesLondon, November 2u. The Native football team beat Cumberland County by two goals and eight tries to nothing.
Several members of the Poneke Football Club assembled at the Post Office Hotel on Wednesday for the purpose of presenting M.rP. Mclntyre, who has occupied the position of vice-president of the club, and who is about to leave for Auckland, with two. large photos of last year’s first and second fifteens of the club. The photos were accompanied by a letter expressive of the club’s deep regret at his departure. The presentation was made by Mr Wiren (seci’etary of the club), and Mr Mclntyre suitably responded. Mr Mclntyre has taken a great interest in the club, and his departure will be felt very much by the members. Mr Mclntyre was also a prominent member of the PbcEnix Cricket Club, and generally ho was a great favourite, both amongst cricketers and footballers in the city. He leaves to-day for Auckland, where he will occupy the position of Audit Inspector,
