The Wairarapa Show.

[By Telegraph.] , (FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Carterton, November 1. The eleventh show of the Wairarapa and East Coast Pastoral and Agricultural Society was opened at Carterton this morning, in very unfavourable weather. A terrilio gale from the south-west has been blowing for the last four days, and last night it increased in violence, but this morning it is fairly calm. Rain is falling, and there is every indication of a wet day. The town is exceedingly quiet, and so far little interest appears to be taken. There is not a single flag or banner to bo seen in the town. Tho entries are more numerous than last year, and the stock yarded is .fully up to the average quality. There is a good show of implements, Messrs E. W. Mills & Co. being the principal exhibitors. A large attend, anoo is anticipated.on account of the excellent train arrangements. The total entries are 513 against 422 last year.
