The New Zealand football team played their first matoh to-day, meeting a strong Surrey team, whom they defeated by a goal and a try to a try. The Natives played finely throughout, and created a very favour, able impression. ANOTHER VICTORY FOR THE NATIVES. London, October 6. Tho New Zealand football team beat Northamptonshire yesterday by two goals and four tries to nil. London, Ootober 7. The football match between the Native team and Northamptonshire, played at Northampton, was witnessed by a very large assemblage of people.
