Joints. — Roasted Gigot o’ Mutton; Sirloin o’ Beef, wi’ Horae Radish ; Bubly Jock, wi’ French Triffl.es; Jukes, wi’ Green Peas ; Soo’s Snoot, Stewed wi’ Vegetables; Dressed Grumpby an’ Smoked Tung. Game. —Pheasant ; Venison. Vegetables. —Neeps ; Cabbage';/Biled an’ Chappit Tatties. Pastry. —ShuetPuddin’ ; Curran’ Dumplin’; Kirk Steeple Cakes ; Cuddle-ma-Dearie ; Trumlin’ Jam ; Curran’ Bun Short Bread, ' • • ■ • Dessert. Tea and Coffee. A typical English dinner was also served on the preceding Christmas Day, the menu for which wa3 as follows : DINNER AT 6 P.M. Soup. —Lord Marcus Hill’s; Jubilee, a la Victoria. Fisbc—Fillet of Turbot in Matchotty Normandie ; Boiled Cod, with Oyster Sauce. Entrees —Salmi of Grouse, a la Espagnole ; Cutlets, a la Reforme. Joints —Roast Sirloin Beef and Yorkshire Pudding; Goose and Apple Sauce; Saddle Mutton and Jelly ; Boiled Turkey with Oyster Sauce; Dressed York Ham and Tongue. Game— Pheasant, Venison. Vegetables.
