Albany, May 28. Particulars to hand by the mail steamer of tho collision between the Garonne and Lucinda show that the Garonne sighted the Lucinda ten minutes before tho collision took place, her green light showing to green. The Garonne repeatedly sig-

nailed the Lucinda to port he r helm, but no notice was taken of tho warning, and apparently no watch was kept on board the Lucinda. The Garonne struck the Lucinda amidships. Twenty of the Lucinda’s crew clambered aboard the Garonne One man was killed by the collision. Another man, a cripple, refused ,to leave the Lucinda because bo was unable to swim, and went down with the vessel, which sank in 10 minutes.
