THE VILLAGE FAIR AT THE DRILLSHED.
The inclement weather Monday afternoon and evening somewhat interfered with the attendance at the Village Fair, but notwithing, a very good business was done. The Village Fair was again largely patronised at the Drillshed on Tuesday afternoon and evening, The troupe of little maypole dancers have established themselveß ae prime favorites since the fair opened, and yesterday their graceful dancing was again much admired. Ballinger, I. G. Wilson, D. D. Ross. I. E. Wales. The amount taken was £65.
The Village Fair at the Drillshed was again well patronised Wednesday, and a good business was done throughout the day. The amount realised was £52 18s 84d. It was the intention of the Committee to have closed the Fair on Wednesday, but owing to the bad weather which they had on Monday and Tuesday they have decided to keep open till Saturday. On Saturday evening the prizes will be drawn in a grand art union whi.'h has been arranged, the tickets for whioh have been fixed at 2s 6d. Amongst the prizes are a handsome screen, valued at £5 ; au oil painting, £3 ; and a pair of valuable paintings, worth £2. The list of prize-winners is as follows: Mesdames Binns, G.
