The Herald says :—With respect to the Wanganui River improvements, we learn that it is expected that the operations will be finished as far as Pipiriki, 57 miles above Wanganui, by the end of April; but it will be necessary to return to some of the falls formerly dredged, situated lower down the river, to improve and further deepen them, and to make the work consistent in depth throughout, namely, two feet, summer level.
