AQUATICS.

Star Boating Club. During the past week Ihe Club have got off a number of events for the senior double sculls and McLean fours. In the former, G. Cooper jmd J. E. Smith (rowing as substitute for A.

G. Cooper) were beaten, after a close race, by Hume and Burnes. The final is the only heat now to be rowed and lies between the last named crew nnd’Copeland and Bucliolz. In the MoLean fours, in the first round, Batger’s crew beat Colebrooke’a, BendaU’s beat Kennedy’s, and Hutchinson’s beat Biss’s la the second round Bendall beat Batger, Burnes beat Hume, and Hutchinson beat bishop. Entries are now being received for the Challenge Champion sculls, for Mr Cargill’s trophy.
