ACCIDENT ASSOCIATION.

(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, April 14. At a special meeting of the Accident Association of New Zealand this afternoon a formal resolution was carried to wind up the Company. Messrs E. Smith (Christchurch) and G. Esther were appointed liquidators. A number of proxies held by Mr W. Stuart were disallowed as informal, and it was intimated that, in any case, Mr Smith held a preponderating number of proxies. Mr Stuart’s motion that the auditors’ report and remarks he read, and that an inquiry be held into the legality of the management engagement for three years from October 6th, found no seconder. Mr Stuart said the Directors should be stopped by mandamus or injunction.
