P. AND O. COMPANY’S STEAMER TASMANIA IN DANGER.
By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. (recter’s telegrams.) London, April 18. News is to hand that the Peninsular and Oriental Company’s steamer Tasmania went ashore on Saturday night last on the Monachi Rocks, off the coast of Corsica. The women and children have been landed, but the rest of the passengers, numbering 200, remain on board. Assistance has been sent to the scene of the wreck.
