CONDITION OFIMPORTED OVA.
(from our own correspondent. ) Masterton, March 29. The Rhine salmon ova ex Tongariro waflT opened up in bad condition, only about fifteen per cent being good. The Rhine trout? and char ova is in better condition, and thirty to forty per cent is good. The Lock Leven trout from Sir James Maitland’® Howieloun fishery is in Bplendid condition. Christchurch, March 29. The Rhine salmon and trout and Alpine char ova received by the Binemoa was found nearly spoiled through being crashed by the moss it was packed in. Barely 10 per cent, will be saved. The Loch Leven trout and Tweed salmon ova are in very good order.
