AQUATICS.
In the first heat of the Star Boating Club’s junior double sculls, which takes place on the 12th February, the crews will be as follow :H. Todd (stroke), H. Seed (bow); W. J. Rylance (stroke), J. Duncan (bow) ; F. L. Hutchinson (stroke), M. Nathan (bow); G. H. Bethune (stroke), D. Tripe (bow); E. R. Stock (stroke), W. H. S. Moorhouse (bow); W. E. Bendall (stroke), K. V. Hume (bow) ; K. Mitchell (stroke), W. L. Miles (bow); J. Gordon , (stroke), W. E. Yaux (bow) ; L. R. Hasell (stroke), P. G-. Hutchinson (bow); A. R. Kennedy (stroke), 0. Stuart (bow). The final paddling handioap of the Tainui Canoe Club came off on Wednesday afternoon over the usual course. There was a stiff north-west breeze. The 3tarters were— Tuatafa, Keveru, Imin 45sec; Beeswing, Bothamley, scratch ; Geroit More, FitzGerald, scratch; Taniwha, Williams, scratch. A close race resulted in a win for the Beeswing from the Tuatara by lOsec, the Taniwha Msec behind the Tuatara. Mr Harper acted as starter and judge. The series of handicaps is therefore won by the Beeswing, the Tuatara being second, and the Geroit More third.
