FIRE IN DUNEDIN.
(united tress association.) Dunedin, February 2. A fire broke out this evening in the wholesale warehouse of Messrs Hogg, Howison aud Co., and a large amount of damage was done by fire and water, but the actual loss is not ascertainable. One portion of the building is used as a bonded warehouse. The insurances amount to £20,000. The following are the Companies interested : —London and Lancashire, £2500 ; Northern, £ISOO ; South British, £SOOO (£3OOO re-insured); North British, £IOOO ; Royal, £4OOO ; Colonial, £4000; Equitable, £2500. Most of the Companies are re-insured to some extent.
