SMALL-POX IN AUSTRALIA.
By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright, (reuter’s telegrams.) < Melbourne, January 13. Frederick Kempster, one of the small-pox patients at the quarantine station, died to-day. Sydney, January 13. Another death from small-pox occurred at the quarantine station today. Sydney, January 14. Another death from small-pox occurred at the quarantine station to-day, making a total of twelve deaths since the first outbreak. • . Melbourne, January 14. The patients at the quarantine station are progressing favorably, only one case being critical, and no fresh cases have been reported. Melbourne, January 16. The death of an infant is reported at the quarantine station. The*other patients are progressing favorablv. Melbourne, January 17. The small-pox patients at the Sorrento are progressing favorably, and no fresh cases are reported. Melbourne, January 18. The Board of Health is considering the advisableness of releasing the Preussen's passengers who have not contracted the small-pox, as no new cases have occurred at the quarantine station for some time.
