'1 he ss Go-Ahead left Wanganui at 8 pm on Wednesday and arrived here at 11 am yesterday. She experienced-strong head winds and heavy sea throughout. The ss Jane Douglas left at 8.30 pm on Thursday and arrived here at 7.45 am yesterday. She experienced strong SE wind with heavy sea throughout the passage. She returned last night. The ss Stormbird left Wanganui at 8.15 pm on Wednesday. She experienced strong SE winds throughout. She returns to-night. The TJ.S.S. Co’s ss Wakatipu left Dunedin at 7.30 pm on the 22nd, called at Timaru and Lyttelton, and arrived here at 10 am yesterday. She experienced moderate weather throughout. She sailed for Sydney yesterday afternoon.
The ss Hauraki left Foxton at 7 pm on Wednesday, and arrived here at 9 am yesterday. She experienced heavy sea throughout. She returned last night. The>hips Cormorant and Timaru, after discharging cargo at the Queen’s Wharf, leave for Dunedin, where they load up for Home. The Cormorant will probably |be ready toward the end of next week, and the Timaru in about three weeks’ time. The Brunner Coal Co.’s steamer Rosamond, which went bn the Slip on Tuesday evening, comes off to-day, and sails for Greymouth at 3 p.m. ' •
