A boy of 11 years, named Alfred Paterson, has been committed for trial at the Supreme Court on a charge pf stealing a yacht from the North Shore. The accused went off to sea in the vessel, evidently on a piratical cruise, but as the whole equipment consisted of several marbles and Borne primitive fishingtackle; he was forced to land at Whangapnroa, 3 ) miles up coast,, where he was arrested on a second charge, that of housebreaking.- Raterson was sentenced to three months’ 1 hard labor on the latter oharge, and to be well birched.
